Mikaël Barbero, Eclipse Foundation

The Eclipse Foundation turned 20 this year and it is amazing to reflect on how much the open source ecosystem has evolved over the last 20 years. Being a good open source project means so much more in 2024 than it meant in 2004. At a moment when open source developers have to already do so much more than just writing their code (documentation, tests, continuous integration, …), thye now have to add security as the new and important topic on top of that. The role of Mikaël Barbero and his team is to define the best practices and build the tools and processes to help developers of the projects hosted at the Eclipse Foundation improve their security posture and make sure they comply with new and upcoming cybersecurity regulations.
