The number of laws and regulations around digital security are increasing fast. The Cyber Resilience Act, CRA, is focusing on cybersecurity in products with digital components. The purpose is to protect the users, and keep them secure, when using digital products. That’s why CRA comes with the requirement on producers to CE-mark their products. CE is a quality marking that will change customer perception of quality. It’s a promise to the user that the producer cares about their safety and wellbeing. It’s saying something about the quality of your product, and the quality in your doings throughout the value chain.

The key challenge with CRA and CE-marking, is to adapt your business and integrate security in your operations. Make your business intentionally Secure by Design and continuously improve to meet a changing customer need.

This is a transformation that stretches beyond CRA and it requires you to revisit your business purpose and how you will live up to that in a changed world.

Those that succeed in this business transformation and do it well, will have a competitive advantage. But most importantly, they will be part of creating a safer digital world to live in.
