European Regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act include open source in their scope and will enter into force in the coming years. From individual maintainers to well established OSPOs in large companies, the open source ecosystem at large has to tackle the new challenges of compliance with these new regulations. In this talk, Enzo Ribagnac will present the specific challenges and highlight the actions taken by the Open Regulatory Compliance Working Group initiated by the Eclipse Foundation to unite key stakeholders across the ecosystem—including industry leaders, small and medium enterprises, open source foundations, and maintainers. In this initiative, all the stakeholders collaborate to work on best practices and standards for compliance.
