The success of Open Source comes at the cost of having become a primary target for bad actors and an explosion of attacks against Open Source. The problem is such that governments around the world are taking action and pushing the industry to address the problem. OpenSSF’s mission is to work on securing open source software for the greater public good. This presentation will introduce OpenSSF, the organization and its various activities as well as give attendees practical pointers on how to get started on improving their security posture with regard to open source.
