Harald started his career as an embedded engineer, developing automations and quite literally “lying under machines.” From there, Harald moved into professional services, where he learned the ups and downs of medical device software and regulated industrial controls development in larger enterprise environments.

Drawn back to his passion for building embedded products, he led the development of a smart medical device and maintained its quality management system for EU conformity. After that he took the chance to lead the entire development team for connected smart vending fridges, eventually working his way up to platform development. In that role, Harald contributed to the backend development for a large-scale fleet management solution. When the need arose, he leveraged his professional regulatory experience to build the information security management system for the entire organization.

Now, Harald is diving deep into cybersecurity compliance as the next big lift, aiming to enable users to build great solutions without falling into all the traps: Compliance from Developers for Developers.
